JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) – The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) on Wednesday (04/24) closed down 0.23 percent or 14.94 points at 6,447.88 from the previous day which rose 0.75 percent to 6,462, 82.

Top Gainers

PT Cahayaputra Asa Keramik Tbk (IDX: CAKK) shares posted the biggest price increase after closing up 24.78 percent at Rp141 per share. Followed bt PT Protech Mitra Perkasa Tbk (OASA) shares which shot 24.67 percent and closed at Rp374 each.

Top Losers

After two days take a gained, PT Menteng Heritage Realty Tbk (IDX: HRME) shares posted the deepest declined after closing down 20.69 percent at Rp460 a piece. Second top loser is PT Century Textile Industry Tbk (IDX: CNTX) shares, which ended down 20.35 percent at Rp454 per share.

PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (IDX: INCO)

Nickel mining issuers posted a net loss of up to $20.16 million in first quarter of 2019. Even though in first quarter of 2018, INCO still recorded a net profit of $ 6.84 million. The cause of the loss was because the cost of revenue exceeded the company’s total sales.

PT Astra International Tbk (IDX: ASII)

PT Astra International Tbk’ net profit in the first quarter of 2019 increased by 5 percent to Rp5.22 trillion (US$372.86 million) from the same period last year. This was due to the performance of depressed subsidiaries from the automotive and agribusiness sectors.

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (IDX: BBRI)

State-owned lenders posted net profit in the first quarter of 2019 of Rp8.2 trillion. This profit rose 10.42 percent from the same period in 2018 which amounted to Rp4.2 trillion. The increase in the company’ net profit was supported by non-interest income or fee-based income which grew 16.49 percent to Rp3.14 trillion.

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (IDX: BBNI)

Other state-owned bank recorded net profit in the first quarter of 2019 of Rp4.08 trillion, up 11.5 percent from the same period in 2018 which was recorded at Rp3.66 trillion. The increase in net profit was sustained by net interest income which grew 4.3 percent to Rp8.86 trillion from Rp8.5 trillion in March 2018.

PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (IDX: ANTM)

The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of the miner decided to share a dividend of Rp306.05 billion or 35 percent of the 2018 net profit. The company also plans to add a business portfolio in Africa and Laos this year.

For today, PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk (IDX: GIAA) shares could be stumbling after some of its shareholders declined the flight carrier 2018′ financial results. The company admitted has posted a net profit $19.7 million during the first quarter of 2019. This figure grew significantly compared to the same period in 2018 which lost $64.3 million.

Binaarthaa Sekuritas rates that there is a potential increase of JCI in Thursday’s trading, so the JCI will move to level 6,468-6,490. The shares that can be seen are PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (IDX:AALI), PT Aces Hardware Tbk (IDX:ACES), PT Astra Autopart Tbk (IDX:AUTO),  PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (IDX:INCO), PT Indosat Tbk (IDX:ISAT) and PT Kimiar Farma Tbk (IDX:KAEF).
