Crude Plantation Oil Fund Management (CPO Fund) noted export CPO, Palm Kernel Oil and its derivatives reached 25.7 million tons or dropped about 2 percent compared to 2015 with total amount 26.2 million tons. However, the value of exports reached US$$17.8 billion, up 8 percent compared to 2015 worth $16.5 billion. The CEO Bayu Krisnamurthi said, the increase in export values was caused by the increase in global CPO prices as much as 41.4 percent in 2016. In addition, the downstream products export higher such as cooking oil products from palm oil, palm kernel olein and palm kernel stearin rose by 22% percent, he said. During 2016, exports of downstream oil products has reached 75.6% of total exports of Indonesian palm oil.
