State-owned coal mining producer, PT Bukit Asam Tbk (IDX:PTBA), is planning to sell some 48 million tons of coal and to have built 1,900 megawatt power plants by 2020, President Director Arviyan Arifin said last week. He added that by 2025 the coal company will have a sales volume of 98 million tons and be operating several power plants with a total capacity of 4,200 MW. He expect this year PTBA production increased by approximately ten percent, compared with that in 2015 from 19 million tons to around 21 million tons. Arviyan noted that the companys operation depends heavily on trains for transportation.
