JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) – Japan-based bank Sumitomo Mitsui Indonesia has agreed to sign deal in syndicated loans valued Rp4.05 trillion with PT INKA (Persero), PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) to finance procurement 31 trained (186 cars) in Jakarta Light Rail Transit (LRT) project.
The Ministry of Transportation has signed an investment contract for the Jabodebek LRT project (Jakarta – Bogor – Depok – Bekasi) with PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk and PT KAI (Persero). The investment value of the project is Rp29.9 trillion for the procurement of LRT infrastructure, facilities and maintenance.
Mass transportation development is one of the government’s targets to provide transportation convenience and speed to the community, including development in the railway sector. Several projects in rail infrastructure include double track development in Java, Trans Sulawesi railway line, LRT Palembang, airport link rail line. (*)
