JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) – IndonesianPresiden Joko Widodo ordered Transportation Safety National Committee to investigate Lion Air JT-610 crashed after 13 minutes take-off. This morning the aircraft bring 189 passengers including pilot and cabin crews flight from Soekarno Hatta Terminal in Tangerang to Pangkal Pinang in Bangka Belitung.

“I have ordered the agency to investigate this incident and immediately submit the results of the investigation as soon as possible,“ said the president in a press conference at Nusa Dua Bali, on Monday (29/10).
He also ordered National Search and Rescue Agency, helped by National Police and Military to promptly conduct search and rescue operation. He expected the victims will soon be found. Giving his thoughts and prayers, Jokowi also asked the victims’ relatives to stay calm whilst waiting for the rescue operation results.
Until now, the search and rescue operation is still ongoing. Around 300 personnel, half National Search and Rescue Agency and others from police and military are conducting the operation. Thirty divers are searching underwater.
According to National Disaster Mitigation Agency, the plane crashed 30-35 meters underwater. So it is still possible to conduct searching, with good weather’s supporting the operation.
Lion Air JT 610, with Jakarta-Pangkal Pinang route, took off at 6.20 a.m. from Soekarno Hatta Airport. At 6.33 a.m., the plane lost contact to air traffic control. Then it fell around Karawang beach, West Jakarta.
